Lauren Baker is an acclaimed contemporary artist, known for artworks and installations that explore the fragility of life, human connection, and the expansiveness of the universe.

This artwork is part of Baker's Colour of Energy series, exploring the seven chakras in the human body, and the vibrations that stimulate them. This piece represents the crown, which is connected to wisdom, enlightenment, oneness and transcendence.

Whilst creating each piece in the series, Baker listened to the sound frequencies of the different chakras, in order to visually interpret their unseen energies.
