Since his family had fallen on hard times and had downsized from a 10 000 acre estate to a council estate in Peckham, Crispin had been walking the family pointer, Margaret, round Peckham Rye Park, which was absolutely glorious. And if one ignored the overflowing bins, discarded masks and dog poo, it was *just* like being back at Plumbridge Manor!
