Number 11 in Peter Blake's alphabet series, Alphabet: The Letter K depicts "K' in thick, black type at the centre of the print. Known for his pioneering use of collage in the 1960s, Blake returns to his early style here, layering up scraps of vintage ephemera to create a dense maze of K's.
The letter appears again and again, in a range of fonts and colours, shapes and sizes, while K-related imagery give visualisation to the eleventh letter of the Latin alphabet: keys and kangaroos, kites and kittens are among the assembled motifs.
