This original artwork has been created especially for The Mix – Enter Gallery’s 2024 group show of original artworks from a selection of our artists.

Caroline Chinakwe is a Nigerian-born, London-based artist known for powerful art that captures the beauty found in black culture and style.

And We Too Will Carry On is a continuation of Chinakwe’s While I’m On Pause series, in which she pays tribute to the ‘flamboyance and fearlessness’ of Erykah Badu, Prince and David Bowie.  

Each carefully-placed element is intended to: “invite the observer to go on their own journey of artistic expression, to experience the profound beauty that can arise from moments of stillness.”

This original acrylic piece is hand-embellished with crystals, acrylic paint and pearls.
