Aura (Wild Inside) Original
Aura (Air in Ancient Greek) is the first work in Emma de Polnay’s exploration of the elemental feminine - a symbolic idea found across many spiritual traditions, where feminine energy is intrinsically linked to the four classical elements: water, earth, air, and fire.
In this new series, Emma draws on the intuitive, nurturing and fluid qualities often associated with water and earth, while also recognising the fierce, catalytic power of fire. Here, she begins with air - breath, spirit, movement, and the invisible forces that shape us.
At the centre of Aura is Hera, the long-suffering wife of Zeus and a goddess of many roles - also associated with air. Emma reimagines her not as a figure defined by endurance, but as a powerful queen reclaiming her own wildness. In a single exhale, Hera releases moonlit magic into an inky night sky: an invocation of self-possession, transformation, and quiet, unstoppable strength.
