Emma de Polnay’s Below The Brine series draws inspiration from Walt Whitman’s poem of the same name. She aims to evoke the poem’s jewel-like colours and the feathery, finger-like forms of the sea life it describes.
These prints are brought to life with hand-applied iridescent inks in shades of green, blue, and gold, complemented by delicate coloured pencil details that add depth and shimmer.
Below The Brine III is a limited edition of 50, each artwork is printed on 330gsm Somerset Velvet paper with a hand-torn edge, and comes signed and numbered by the artist.
Every piece is individually hand-finished with acrylic inks and mediums. Available in two sizes.
