Featuring ancient mythological beings, anatomical drawings, dream imagery and religious iconography, Dan Hillier is known for working with composite images and 19th-century engravings to create captivating, mystical works, blending Surrealism and Neo-Victoriana.

In 2016/17 Dan Hillier exhibited Bloom as part of a new body of work in a solo exhibition at Saatchi Gallery, titled Ceremony. Inspired by psychedelic plant medicine ceremonies, Hillier's Bloom layers geometric shapes into a darkly kaleidoscopic collage, celebrating the symmetry and randomness of the natural world.
