Boom

Erre is a Colombian street artist who creates rousing murals and prints designed to inspire and empower women to fight for equality. Erre’s artworks tackle corruption, hypocrisy and feature strong female figures as a direct challenge to the culture of machismo in Latin America, and beyond. 

Epitomising her punk aesthetic, Boom features a girl with her catch of the day – multiple sticks of burning dynamite. Bombs and explosions are a recurring motif in Erre’s work, as a nod to the idea of blowing apart the system.
