Tony Dennis aka Tape Deck Art is a British contemporary artist who combines his passion for music and design by creating giant 3D versions of vintage music badges.
In CAN U DIG IT?, Tape Deck emulates the style of a classic badge set, bringing together British rock bands of the late 80s and early 90s, including Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine, Ned’s Atomic Dustbin Lid, The Wonder Stuff and Pop Will Eat Itself (PWEI).
All Tape Deck's original designs are stencilled and hand-painted before being printed onto vinyl and wrapped around a bespoke aluminium badge. Each artwork is finished with a coat of epoxy resin to recreate the look and feel of an old school pin badge.
From a limited edition of 15, the piece comes signed and numbered by the artist.
