This is a set of three 3D collage of archival inkjet prints on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Satin 310 gsm set in a wooden box frame with clear view glass.
In this set of three collages, Peter Blake has combined his love of the circus with his characteristic collaged crowds in a 3D format. The works were inspired by Lothar Meggendorfer's International Circus - a pop-up book first published in 1887.
Peter Blake has put together two weird and wonderful audience collages in which the crowds are being entertained by a circus act. These two panels sit either side of a central stage collage, which features a line-up of unusual people, and an eclectic orchestra sourced from the Artist's extensive collection of ephemera.
