This piece is from Jana Nicole’s 2024 solo show at Enter Gallery, Botanical Scapes. In the exhibition, Nicole continues her award-winning exploration of the mystical world of mushrooms, moss and mycelium.

Inspired by Victorian botanists, Jana Nicole draws and hand-paints each element of her intricate collages.

Cock Crow captures these fascinating species’ illuminated in the monochrome hues of first light, with each glowing element chosen to highlight their beauty and remarkable healing properties.
