Corolla, Framed Original
This piece is from Richard Bernerās 2023 solo show at Enter Gallery, You Can Be Anything (*or Nothing). The show is a humorous exploration of the ambiguity of art and its capacity to mean everything to one person, and absolutely nothing to the next.
In this piece, Berner depicts a corolla - the ring of petals that make up a flower. The piece juxtaposes light with darkness, reminding us of how both permeate all aspects of life. Berner explains:
āBy showing my champs both surviving and perishing within the same space, I explore how hope and despair go hand-in-hand.ā
This original artwork is created with ink and gouache on paper. It has deckled edges and comes signed by the artist.
Please note this piece is framed in a 25mm black box frame with a white shadow float and regular glass.
Size (cm): 74 x 74
