Best known for her provocative portraits of women, London-based British artist Lucie Bennett explores female identity and sexuality using simple, elegantly applied lines and block colour forms to create distinctive, timeless pieces.
"Cut-Out Girls' refers to the nature of the artwork which started as a collage but is also a play on words suggesting how women and girls can often be excluded within society.
Cut Out Girl 1 and Cut Out Girl 2 can be bought separately or as a pair of prints.
The mirror-image nature of the two artworks become reminiscent of a paper chain when displayed together, which Bennett sees as a metaphor for the solidarity of womankind holding hands and standing together.
A limited edition of 50, both pieces are signed and numbered by the artist.
