Darkness Underworld comes from a series of work, inspired by Phillip Pullman's, His Dark Materials trilogy, in which the artist explores the darkness and light contained in the human psyche.
The collage portrays two parallel worlds, which contrast between night and day. The celestial light which illuminates the waterlily represents the atoms and magnetic particles existing in the earth's atmosphere.
