Dan Baldwin is producing an ever stronger body of work recognised for being both abstract and figurative drawing on the imaginative world and reality. Calling on common themes and motifs throughout his work; skeletons, swallows, crucifixes and guns. Each item holds significant meaning, the swallow meaning hope and the skeleton death. This duality of love and life is a contradiction and question that examines the meaning of humanity and the beauty of the world around us. Born in Manchester, Baldwin studied at Eastbourne College of Art. He now lives and works in West Sussex.
