Justine Smith is a painter, sculptor and collage artist based in London. Through her art she explores the concept of money and the impact it has on all areas of our lives.
Diamond Queen was created to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in 2012. To create the piece, Smith sourced bank notes from across the Commonwealth countries. The artwork is a celebration of the Queen, but also a comment on the Monarchy's history, wealth, public influence and extreme wealth.
