Double Oasis
Dirty Hans is a painter and illustrator specialising in high impact contemporary urban art. His work fuses Pop Art sensibilities with realism, and borrows imagery from popular culture to create fun pieces which evoke a sense of time and place.
In Double Oasis, Dirty Hans puts a Brit Pop spin on Andy Warhol's 1963 painting, Triple Elvis. The original image, depicting The King as a cowboy, hailed from the 1960 western, Flaming Star.
For his piece, Hans has replaced Presley's pistol with the Manchester band's weapon of choice - the microphone.
This giclée print is from a limited edition of 50, signed and numbered by the artist.
