Framed Abandon All Hope

This piece is from Richard Berner’s 2023 solo show at Enter Gallery, You Can Be Anything (*or Nothing). The show is an exploration of the ambiguity of art and its capacity to mean everything to one person, and absolutely nothing to the next.

In this amusing piece, Berner’s champ questions whether to hold out hope, or give up entirely. Berner explains:  

“There’s a loneliness to this artwork. It presents the idea that we feel alone and isolated in this thought, when in fact, many of us feel the same thing, have the same insecurities, and worry about the same things.”

This giclee print is an edition of 10, and comes signed by the artist.
