Framed Alphabet Series, 1991
Since his career began in the 1950s, Sir Peter Blake has been prolific, creating paintings, collage, typography and more inspired by his fascination with popular culture. Blake’s impact as the face of contemporary art is so significant, he is now known as the ‘Godfather of Pop Art.’
In his 1991 Alphabet Series, Blake uses each of the letters of the alphabet to depict his personal Pop Art inspirations.
