Framed Alphabet : The letter D
Pop art legend Sir Peter Blake has produced a series of alphabet letters, created from vintage collage cut ups.
Best known for creating the album artwork to Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band in 1967, Blake ranges across paint, print and collage. His media, methods and techniques might be varied, but his style is always distinctively his own.
The letter "D' sits at the heart of the print in thick, black type. All around it, Blake has collaged scraps from Victorian ephemera: lots of little letter d's swim around images of dogs, donkeys, and dromedaries, who prowl across the page. Eye-catching, fabulous, and fun, Blake's collectable print is from a very limited edition of just 60, each one hand signed by the artist.
Please note this piece is framed in a 25mm black box frame with a white shadow float and regular glass.
