Framed Because I'm Worthless, Red
Because I’m Worthless is one of a trilogy of prints in Banksy’s 2004 Placard Rat series. The series was inspired by ‘Get Out While You Can’, a book by George Marshall, which offered suggestions on how to find a way out of ‘salary slavery’ and ‘the rat race’.
Back in the early 2000s, Banksy painted multiple iterations of Placard Rat across the streets of London, and in turn – the rat became synonymous with the work of this mysterious street artist. The original placard rat, holding a sign reading, ‘London doesn’t work’, was painted on Chiswell Street in London.
Because I’m Worthless is from a limited edition of 175.
