Framed (BTP) Found Art Cinema Club
Since his career began in the 1950s, Sir Peter Blake has been prolific, creating paintings, collage, typography and more inspired by his fascination with popular culture. Blake’s impact as the face of contemporary art is so significant, he is now known as the ‘Godfather of Pop Art.’
This piece is from Peter Blake's Found Art series and is inspired by one of the earliest tenets of Pop Art, the idea that everyday objects can be transformed into fine art.
For the series, Blake used digital technology to enlarge his objects to encourage us to consider them in a different light. Here, he transforms a flyer for a cinema club into a work of art.
This giclée print is from a limited edition of 25, signed and numbered by the artist.
Please note, this piece comes framed in a 25mm black box frame with UV glass.
Framed size (cm): 127 x 106
