Framed Camille

Rivans' collages are a celebration of the complexity of people and the world that we live in. Via her eye for creating harmony, Rivans makes sense of our world, and invites the observer to venture across the threshold into the fantastical parallel universes of her creation.

This piece depicts Greta Garbo and is named after the critically-acclaimed 1936 movie, Camille, widely regarded as Garbo's finest performance. It is part of Rivans' pin-up series, inspired by the empowered female actors that made an impact on her as a child. Each embellishment is chosen to reflect the star's identity.

Each of Rivans' collages are born from her collection of vintage ephemera, foraged from market stalls and second-hand shops. From selecting her components to determining their perfect placement, each artwork is a labour of love, showcasing her sublime eye for colour and composition.

This silkscreen print is from a limited edition of 60, signed by the artist. it also comes framed in a 25mm white box frame.
