Maria Rivans has created this piece especially for Enter Gallery’s Art Yard Sale 2024.

Rivans is a Brighton-based artist known for her popular Pin Ups series, in which she depicts stars of the silver screen sporting intricate collaged headdresses. 

Here, Rivans depicts Greta Garbo, a Swedish icon renowned for emotive performances, often in roles exploring themes of love, desire and sacrifice.

The title of the artwork is taken from the Latin for nest or safe place. The piece is therefore an exploration of the dichotomy of refuge and freedom and of the human spirit’s yearning for connection with nature. 

This giclée print is from a limited edition of 75, signed and numbered by the artist.

Please note this piece is framed in a 20mm white box frame with a white shadow float and regular glass.
