Framed Perceval

Sarah Lucas emerged onto the art scene as part of the Young British Artists of the late eighties. Lucas’ works spans sculpture, photography, installation and collages, and uses humour, visual puns and sexual metaphors to explore sex, death, gender, and Englishness. 

Perceval was created for In The Darkest Hour There May Be Light – Damien Hirst’s 2006 exhibition that is widely considered his most influential to date. The critically-acclaimed show and print portfolio displayed Hirst’s work alongside that of his friends and contemporaries, including Angus Fairhurst, Angela Bulloch and Sarah Lucas.
