Framed Poolside Gossip, Large, Bright White Box Frame

Slim Aarons is an American photographer known for capturing (in his own words) ‘attractive people doing attractive things in attractive places.’ However, life wasn’t always cocktails in exotic locations for Aarons. The photographer began his career photographing soldiers in combat during World War II, for which he received a Purple Heart.

After the war, Aarons set his sights on capturing the lifestyle of the rich and famous. By winning the trust of his subjects, he was able to shoot some of the most intimate and candid portraiture of the 20^th century.

Poolside Gossip features a house in the Palm Springs Desert that was designed by Richard Neutra for American businessman and philanthropist, Edgar J. Kaufmann. Lita Baron (far left) approaches Helen Dzo Dzo (left) and Nelda Linsk, wife of art dealer Joseph Linsk.
