Framed The Treasure You Seek

Contemporary street artist, Lee Eelus is known for his vivid prints and murals, characterised by joyous displays of colour. His art celebrates the vibrancy of the human spirit, and returns colour and character to our (at times) grey world.

This piece is inspired by the long and difficult journey the artist and his partner took to bring their daughter into the world. He explains: “It’s an allegory of perseverance, determination and battling the odds to materialise your personal treasures, whatever they may be.”

The title of the artwork is taken from a quote by author, Joseph Campbell, which states: “The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek.”

This four-colour screenprint with iridescent pearl inks is from a limited edition of 50, signed and numbered by the artist.
