Framed Tuesday Weld

Since his career began in the 1950s, Sir Peter Blake has been prolific, creating paintings, collage, typography and more inspired by his fascination with popular culture. Blake’s impact on the face of contemporary art is so significant, he is now known as the ‘Godfather of Pop Art.’

This piece hails from Blake's revered 2008 Replay series, in which he revisits his own art from the early 60s. 

Here, Blake captures Hollywood actress, Tuesday Weld, depicted against blocks of colour typical of his Pop Art palette. 

This silkscreen print is from a limited edition of 100, signed and numbered by the artist.
