Magnus Gjoen creates artwork that is simultaneously beautiful and thought-provoking. ‘The Venetian Stag Beetle’ inverts western tradition by using fine art as ornamentation for a stag beetle, which historically depicted an Egyptian God. Gjoen uses what we recognise as fine art in a unique way, drawing us in with what we know to compel us further.
