Vintage Ali is a limited edition piece by street artist, Mr Brainwash – an artist launched onto the scene in the 2010 off the back of Banksy-directed documentary, Exit Through the Gift Shop.
This piece is a prime example of the artist’s oeuvre, in which he appropriates imagery from popular culture and art history and adds his graffiti-style flourishes to undermine his original source material. Here, notorious tough guy Mohammad Ali is surrounded by a pattern of delicate flowers.
Vintage Ali is a screenprint on archival paper. From a limited edition of 35, the piece comes float mounted in a black box frame with UV glass.
