The artwork is one in a series of tribute pieces created by Berner in homage to great works of art. Here, the artist interprets The Great Wave Off Kanagawa by Japanese artist, Hokusai Katsushika, an artwork that symbolises the irresistible force of nature.

This is another of Berner's works to be crafted entirely from a meticulously-hand-drawn cast of little figures, that he calls "Champs.' It is a wonderful example of Berner's talent for creating intricate pieces that sing with unexpected details.

Featuring hand-applied 24c Gold Leafing detail, this print is signed and numbered on 330gsm Somerset Paper with hand-torn edges.
