Framed Wild Spray

Olivier Rizzo, AKA Speedy Graphito is a French painter and pioneer of the French street art movement. Bursting onto the scene in the early 1980s, the artist's powerful and innovative work influenced a generation of urban artists, and his trademark graphics style, emulated by many, has become known as "Style Graphito.'

Whether he's working with spray, stencils or with a brush, Graphito is known for using characters from popular culture to create pieces that shift our perceptions of society.

In Wild Spray an imposter posing as Mickey Mouse is surrounded by graffiti and images of equally prevalent cartoon characters, including SpongeBob SquarePants, Hello Kitty and Popeye.

This silkscreen on Coventry Rag Vellum Paper is from a limited edition of 50, signed and numbered by the artist.
