In his art, Faine enjoys taking things out of context, and isolating objects from their usual surroundings.
The colours in this series are inspired by famous paintings, lending the works an air of familiarity despite their surreal nature. Here, the colours and composition are based on Matisseās painting, Goldfish and Palette (1914).
