Hot Pink Pop, Original

This original artwork has been created especially for The Mix – Enter Gallery’s 2024 group show of original artworks from a selection of our artists.  

In Hot Pink Pop, Pope shows off her exquisite skill at painting full, glossy lips. Her process involves applying several layers of thin, oil-diluted paint (often with lipstick thrown into the mix), blending and smoothing the colours extensively until the full, photo-real force of gloss and shine is achieved.   

Pope portrays her subject’s lips against a gold leaf background, creating a glamorous and flirty piece that truly pops. 

This original artwork is created with oil paint on gesso covered circular wood panel with 24 carat gold leaf. It comes signed by the artist.
