If God Won't Have You, The Devil Must, Framed Original

This piece is from Richard Berner’s 2023 solo show at Enter Gallery, You Can Be Anything (*or Nothing). The show is a humorous exploration of the ambiguity of art and its capacity to mean everything to one person, and absolutely nothing to the next.

In this impressive piece, Berner offers his interpretation of Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper – an infamous masterwork infused with story and meaning.

Speaking of the piece, Berner explains: “By showing my champs both surviving and perishing within the same space, I explore how hope and despair go hand-in-hand.”

This original artwork is created with ink, gouache and 24ct gold leaf on paper, and comes signed by the artist.

Please note this piece is framed in a black ornate frame with regular glass.
