It All Comes From Here

It All Comes From Here is a new edition, intended to complement and sit alongside the original print, This Is The Place, blending themes of nature and decadence. They are connected not only through the majestic bee, but through the continuation of circles, symmetry and the regal, multifaceted, gold backgrounds.

The circle of life is represented not only though the depiction of the bee - highlighting its tireless work to sustain our ecosystem, essential for our survival - but also through the rhythmic, life affirming symbolism of the circles.

The gold catches and plays with the light, changing the mood over time for the viewer. Each piece is perfected, made with multiple colour overlay lithography, creating different depth and dimension with the bee, saying different things at different times of day or year with the use of gold.

‘Both of these pieces are nods to my hometown of Manchester, I feel constantly compelled to capture the spirit of Manchester that resides in me; what it means to be from there and express that through my art. The title of this work is taken from a Noel Gallagher quote who, when speaking about Manchester, said “The thing about Manchester is… it all comes from here” and pointed to his heart. This is where true beauty resides.’
