Ola Volo is a Canadian illustrator and mural artist, known for narrative works inspired by folklore, identity and multiculturalism. In her art, Volo celebrates empowered women, entirely confident in their own skin.

Joker is from Volo’s Queen’s Court series, and is based on a mural that Volo painted in Brighton in 2023 – her first in the UK. Volo explains: 

“I want my women to fill space and look comfortable doing so. I want them to be liberated, so that they give those that look at them that same empowering feeling. There’s an attitude, a sense of powerful femininity that everyone can relate to.” 

This silkscreen print has deckled edges, and comes in either a copper, silver or gold leaf hand-finish. Each finish is from an artist proof of 2, signed by the artist.
