Letter S

Letter S

Ben Eine is a contemporary street artist from London. Eine displays his love of typography loud and proud, creating hundreds of artworks celebrating his selection of graffiti fonts.

Eine launched his career working alongside Banksy establishing the iconic Pictures on Walls Gallery in 2003. Since then, his work has made it into the collection of Barack Obama, and in 2018 he unveiled a mural in East London so large it can be seen from space.

Letter S is created in Eine’s signature font, immediately establishing this as a work by this celebrated artist. Interestingly, S was the letter that kick-started Eine’s career in street art. He reveals:

ā€œā€˜S’ was my first tag. It can still be found in certain locations around London, mostly on shutters and walls. I see it as my first exploration into typography, so it’s deeply nostalgic and sentimental for me.ā€

This six-colour silkscreen print is from a limited edition of 125, signed and numbered by the artist. This piece is available in three colour variants, Blue, Pink and Yellow.
