Speaking of this piece, Lucy reveals:
āI am really interested in Delft tiles and how snapshots of life can be contained within these little squares. I wanted to create my own contemporary versions, each one depicting everyday objects familiar to us (particularly in the western world). I'd like to think if the tiles were buried and rediscoveredĀ a hundred years later, the archaeologists of the future would learn something about us. Even if it's just that we definitelyĀ had strange taste in footwear - and I speak as a Crocs fan!ā
