Live Aid and Band Aid - Set
This set brings together the cover Peter Blake designed for 1984 Band Aid charity single, 'Do They Know It's Christmas Time?' and the Live Aid Global Jukebox Poster, which the artist designed for the 1985 Live Aid concerts.
The single and the concert were organised to raise awareness and funds for famine-stricken Africa.
For the cover of the single, Blake juxtaposes starving African children against a cosy festive scene. The poster promoting the global event features a map of the world overlaid with old photographs of the venues, ticket stubs and a famished child stands beside a juke box as it blasts music in a bid to heal the world.
This silkscreen print is in an edition of 750 copies, and includes 23 colours and 2 glazes.
400 copies of each edition are presented together in a portfolio, while the remaining copies are available individually.
