These Lolly Specimen Cabinets are from internationally-acclaimed mixed-media artist, Miss Bugs.
The piece is from their 2019 show, Do No Harm, which consisted of 900 colourful resin lollies, each containing a range of pharmaceuticals, in a bid to "critique contemporary society's obsession and consumption of social media.'
Miss Bugs explains: "The ice lollies represent the churn of the social network; the posed selfies, the frothy coffee top photos and the cute animal videos side of the internet that we all like to binge on, but inside it's rotten and sick.'
Each cabinet contains 21 unique PU Resin lollipops. Floated within the resin are various items typically associated with the medical industry, including pills, syringes and blades.
