Using his innovative printmaking practice, which combines silkscreen with painting and collage techniques, the artist recreates iconic views of cities, playing with colour and perspective in the process.
In this piece, Lilley depicts a view of the City of London from the banks of the River Thames. Lilley’s sunny rays illuminate some of the capital’s most famous landmarks from the Tower of London to the Gherkin.
This hand-finished mixed media silkscreen print is on a tube map of the London Underground. From a limited edition of 29, the piece is signed and numbered by the artist.
