In Love Hurts, Rose portrays a love sick Bart Simpson, mesmerised by the messages surrounding love that have been pedalled to us since we were kids. Rose explains:
‘I’m interested in how, as time progresses and the population awakens to the hidden dangers of products once portrayed as their friend, the branding and the culture around it begin to fall away.’
This giclée print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Satin is hand-finished with acrylic. The piece is available in two sizes. Both sizes are limited editions of 20, signed by the artist.
