Mad Fer It
Haus Of Lucy, AKA Lucy Bryant, is a contemporary artist who appropriates found objects and images, and slips in quirky nods to contemporary culture. This piece is part of a series celebrating the āMadchesterā musical and cultural scene that first emerged in the late 80s, with bands like Joy Division and New Order.
Lucy reveals the story behind the piece:
āOasis Superfan Noeliam (he changed his name by deed poll) had sworn the day the popular Manc beat combo split up, that he would wear the same t-shirt every day until they reformed. Now, 13 years later, his t-shirt is falling apart and he's no closer to being able to wear a different t-shirt despite tweeting the warring brothers every day. Thank goodness for Febreze!ā
Mad Fer It is an original piece by Haus of Lucy, made from Your Nan's china ornament, polymer clay, ceramic paint and photographic paper.
