Marcel Duchamp's World Tour The Animal's Fancy Dress Ball at The Tower Ballroom, Blackpool
Since his career began in the 1950s, Sir Peter Blake has been prolific, creating paintings, collage, typography and more inspired by his fascination with popular culture. Blakeās impact on the face of contemporary art is so significant, he is now known as the āGodfather of Pop Art.āĀ
Back in the early 2000s, Peter Blake created a series of paintings in homage to artist and writer, Marcel Duchamp. The paintings imagined Duchamp in a variety of unusual situations, including playing chess with Tracey Emin and hanging out with the Spice Girls.
