Nimenko is a New Zealand born artist, now living and working in rural Gloucestershire. The artist is known for arresting mixed-media collages inspired by the natural world.  

This piece hails from a series of work in which the artist explores the darkness and light contained in the human psyche. 

While a meteor shower lights up the night sky, birds and butterflies dance below in a garden thick with flowers. The layers of foliage conceal a wardrobe, representing our internal world, and our lifelong journey towards discovering hidden elements of our own characters.  

This giclée print hand-finished with 19k gold leaf is from a limited edition of 10, signed and numbered by the artist.
