My Still Life is Better Than Your Flowers

Over the course of her 25-year career, Soozy Lipsey has worked across multiple platforms, repurposing found objects and images to encourage the viewer to "see new things, feel new feelings and make new connections between ideas, emotion, imagery and experience.'

In this piece, Lipsey has taken on a typical subject of art, the floral arrangement - and put her own playful spin on it by hand-painting on text that pokes fun at the competitive nature of humans.
