Tony Dennis aka Tape Deck Art is a British contemporary artist with a passion for music and design who paints and creates giant 3D pin badges.
For his New York, Hip Hop Badge Set, the artist has immortalised vintage badges from four of the biggest hip hop bands of all time; Beastie Boys, De La Soul, Public Enemy and Run DMC.
The mixed media artwork has been carefully crafted to recreate the types of badge sets you would buy back in the day. Each of the badges within the artwork are printed onto vinyl and wrapped onto a hand-spun aluminium badge, hand-finished, powder-coated in epoxy resin and polished.
This piece is from a limited edition of 5, signed and numbered by the artist.
