On Resilience 23 is the first in a series of original paintings by Emma de Polnay, inspired by her January 2023 trip to the vibrant landscapes of Bali. This piece pays tribute to the breathtaking waterfall in Tenbok, whose raw power and quiet persistence deeply moved the artist.
Created as a reflection on resilience - both personal and collective - the work captures a sense of awe at how nature endures, regardless of the turbulence in the world. It also continues Emma’s ongoing Luminate theme, celebrating light as a force that emerges from darkness.
