This piece is part of Peter Blake's much-loved Paris Suite collection, which takes inspiration from The City of Love. Via his signature brand of humorous collage, Blake transforms some of the city's most iconic landmarks into bizarre scenes featuring an unlikely cast of characters.
A charabanc is an old-fashioned vehicle used for sightseeing that Blake revisits repeatedly, whether it's in his art, namely, his Marcel Duchamp's World Tour paintings, or the double-decker Art Bus that he uses to tour around the UK. In Paris- Charabanc Outing, the bus is surrounded by vultures, Pterodactyl, and a crowd of curious onlookers.
From a limited edition of 100, the silkscreen print is signed by Peter Blake.
